Wednesday April 4, 2018 marked the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination. At ISPN, we were joined by over 100 community members to honor Dr. King and his legacy of unconditional love. Dr. King wrote that his vision of the Beloved Community was “in reality a call for an all-embracing and unconditional love for ALL people.”
Led by activist Carol Bragg, we were joined by Omni Development Corporation, The Center for Reconciliation and Rhode Island for Community in Justice in a lively discussion of the challenges of unconditional love, the value of this practice and the importance of our using unconditional love as a foundation for growing the Beloved Community and improving our neighborhoods and community.
