Saturday September 8th and Sunday September 9th from 9am-4pm each day, ISPN offers a Core Nonviolence Training that is open to the public. This two day training offers an introduction to the Kingian Principles and Steps of Nonviolence. Throughout the training participants will learn Martin Luther King Jr.’s six principles of nonviolence and come to a greater understanding of nonviolence as a tool for change. The training answers these key questions: what is nonviolence and how does it apply to my life? Core components covered through this training include: The History of Nonviolence, defining key terms (Violence/ Nonviolence), the 4 components of a Beloved Healthy Community, the six Principles of Nonviolence and the Steps of Nonviolence.
